Funding for my your social enterprise
August 9, 2017
Where can I to go to get funding for my your social enterprise?
I often get asked this question. So, I thought it will be helpful if I list the number of organisations that I have come across who offer grants to social enterprise, charities and community projects as well as organisation that offer loans and social investment.
(Please note however, the sources of funding does change. Hence the list is only intended as a starting point and by no means is definitive):
If you will like to learn more about social investment, I will suggest you visit the Big Society Capital website who’s goals is to ensure charities and social enterprise are aware of the diverse range of products that are available to you.
This presents a significant untapped potential for charities, social entrepreneurs and community groups to raise more money, experiment with new ways of addressing social challenges and get more people involved in campaigning and volunteering. Here are just some platforms you can consider:
Crowdfunder - a crowdfunding platform for community groups, businesses, charities and social enterprises
CrowdJustice - crowdfunding legal action and public interest law
Ethex - making investing into projects with a social purpose easy to understand and do
GoGetFunding - helping individuals crowdfund for the causes they care about
Hubbub - crowdfunding university student and alumni projects
Spacehive - crowdfunding local projects to transform public spaces
JustGiving Crowdfunding - helping anyone raise money to fund their own good cause
DigVentures - Crowdfunding archaeology and heritage projects
